Licensing Exam
The DOH exam is administered by Pearson VUE. It consists of 100–150 questions over 150–180 minutes, depending on exam type. Unlike DHA, the DOH exam is only available after PSV is complete — you cannot sit for it until PSV is completed. Fees range from AED 400–1,000 depending on profession.
After You Pass
Once you've passed PSV and the DOH exam, you can search for an employer directly — your employer activates your license once you're hired.
License Validity & Renewal
Once activated, your DOH license carries its own renewal date, and DOH typically issues licenses on a one-year renewal cycle. Renewal applications must be submitted between 90 days and 6 months before that date — apply late and the license is automatically suspended until reinstated.

Applying as a Trainee
You'll need supervised training at an approved facility before applying for a full DOH license if you don't yet have the prerequisite 2 years of clinical experience, or you've had a practice gap of 3 years or more.
Clinicians need to apply for an internship position through DOH's official Internship Program.
